The mission of the American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA) is to enable women in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession.  Members include partners in national, regional and local CPA firms, financial officers, controllers, academicians, financial analysts and data processing consultants, recent college graduates and women returning to the work force.

ASWA’s Educational Foundation provides members the opportunity to give back to their profession.  The Foundation’s mission is to promote and advance financial literacy, scholarship and life skills through programs of recognition, mentoring, research and outreach.  Current programs include the annual scholarship awards to undergraduate and graduate accounting students and the annual Balance Awards program, recognizing the “best in market” companies and individuals with a commitment to work/life balance.
